Machine Setup / Operator

We are seeking a mechanically inclined Machine Setup/Operator to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for setting up and operating machinery, making adjustments, and inspecting finished components to ensure they meet safety, quality, and engineering specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up, calibrate, test, and operate machinery and machine tooling.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, work orders, and specifications.
• Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools.
• Troubleshoot equipment and identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, and production efficiency.
• Use ERP systems, Microsoft Office, drawing/model viewers, and machine controls.
• Maintain accurate production, quality, safety, and efficiency reports.
• Assist with training operators and promote safe equipment operation.
• Provide support throughout the department as needed and work overtime when required.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Manufacturing, machine shop, or mechanical experience preferred.
• Mechanically inclined with the ability to use basic hand tools.
• Ability to read blueprints and use measuring instruments with metric and standard dimensions.
• Strong math, problem-solving, organizational, and troubleshooting skills.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and drawing/model viewers.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and as part of a team.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs.
• Must have reliable transportation .

Additional Skills Preferred:

• Bilingual English/Spanish.
• Experience with metal bending, turret presses, or sheet metal laser operations.
• Ability to identify process concerns and recommend improvements.
