Location: Los Alamos, New Mexico Job Type: Full-Time Pay: $30–$35 per hour About the Role We're seeking a dependable and skilled Class B Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on machining experience, a solid understanding of CNC machining practices, and the ability to produce quality parts while following engineering drawings, work instructions, and established manufacturing procedures. This role is ideal for a machinist who can perform routine setups and machining operations with limited supervision and is interested in developing more advanced machining, programming, setup, and troubleshooting skills. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC and/or manual machining equipment with limited supervision. Manufacture parts according to engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions, and job requirements. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, dimensions, and tolerances. Select and install appropriate tooling and make routine machine adjustments. Verify tooling, offsets, and setup information before and during machining operations. Perform in-process inspections to ensure parts meet specified requirements. Use precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, indicators, and height gauges. Monitor machining operations and identify issues related to tooling, dimensions, surface finish, or machine performance. Make routine adjustments to maintain required dimensions and tolerances. Complete manufacturing and inspection travelers and other required production documentation accurately. Report machining, drawing, tooling, or quality concerns to supervisors or Quality Assurance personnel. Follow established quality, safety, and manufacturing procedures.
