This advanced building brings every stage of care under one roof, featuring dedicated spaces for outpatient services, surgery, stepdown, ICU and epilepsy monitoring, as well as additional operating rooms and expanded ambulatory, infusion, imaging, EMG, sleep and rehabilitation services. A caregiver in this position will work nights and on-call from 7:30am to 4:00pm or 7:00pm to 7:30am with weekend and holiday requirements. This role will be stationed throughout the new CC Neurological Institute.

\n

\n

A caregiver who excels in this role will:  

\n

\n
• Inspect, repair, monitor, maintain and troubleshoot Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems and equipment throughout the facility.  
\n

\n

\n
• Document and maintain records of inspections and work performed.  
\n

\n

\n
• Inspect and maintain all temperature, humidity, and data logging devices, including meters and gauges. 
\n

\n

\n
• Utilize the building management system (BMS) to address customer service requests, adjust temperature set points, and start and stop equipment. 
\n

\n

\n
• Receive and respond to work orders from the computerized maintenance management system. 
\n

\n

\n
• Respond to alarms and alerts appropriately. 
\n

\n

\n
• Work at additional Cleveland Clinic locations as needed.  
\n

\n

\n

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

\n

\n
• High School Diploma or GED 
\n

\n

\n
• Valid Driver’s License (VDL) and insurable driving record 
\n

\n

\n
• Three years of experience with chiller systems, reheat systems, variable frequency drives (VFD), air handling units (AHU), humidifiers, dampers, heating and cooling coils, cooling towers and/or pumps OR military experience as a Utilities Man (UT), Machinists Mate (MM), HVAC/R (3E1X1), Utilities Equipment Repairer (91C) or a similar role 
\n

\n

\n
• Understanding of the tools and techniques used to maintain, diagnose and repair HVAC systems 
\n

\n

\n
• Basic knowledge of building management systems 
\n

\n

\n
• Ability to read blueprints 
\n

\n

\n

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

\n

\n
• \n

  Experience troubleshooting and repairing building automation systems (BAS) and HVAC control systems.

\n
• \n

  Hands-on experience with low-voltage controls (under 50 volts), including control wiring and diagnostics.

\n
• \n

  Knowledge of heating and cooling system automation and sequence of operations.

\n
• \n

  Experience troubleshooting VAV boxes, airflow issues, and water flow/hydronic systems.

\n
• \n

  Familiarity with HVAC mechanical systems in large commercial, healthcare, or institutional environments.

\n
• \n

  Ability to interpret HVAC control diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.

\n
• \n

  Experience working with pneumatic, electronic, and direct digital control (DDC) systems preferred.

\n
• \n

  Building automation platform experience preferred (Siemens, Johnson Controls, Honeywell, Schneider, etc.).

\n
• \n

  Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills related to HVAC systems.

\n
• \n

  Refrigeration experience is acceptable; however, candidates with direct building automation and controls experience are strongly preferred.

\n
• \n

  Experience diagnosing, repairing, and replacing HVAC control valves, actuators, sensors, dampers, and related field components.

\n

\n

Pay Range

\n

\n

Minimum hourly: $25.13

\n

\n

Maximum hourly: $38.33

\n

The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate’s actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate’s work history, experience, skill set and education. The pay range displayed does not include any applicable pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime, etc.).
